The new Bauhaus-WALSTEIN Alto Saxophone Deluxe Model features the same excellent specifications and the same great sound as the original model, but with one chief difference. More information on the New "AI"

Bauhaus have rebuilt the action in the A.I. (action improved) series using a shoulderless point screw and redesigned pillar-rod mechanism. The screws are manufactured from hardened steel, and the housing mechanism is carefully engineered around them creating greater ergonomics, making for a smoother, more responsive action.

The cases have changed too - now with integral rucksack zip away straps, large, padded external pocket, fitted interior with space for accessories and handles with rubber overlay for grip and comfort. High impact padding - lightness and protection.

Bauhaus-WALSTEIN Alto Saxophone - Excellent budget priced student instrument. Beautiful Phosphor Bronze Body with gold lacquer keywork. With high F#. Substantial keywork, heavyness due to phosphor bronze body (Phosphor bronze is an alloy of copper, tin and phosphorus - a deoxidizing agent during melting - creating a tough, strong and fine grained metal). Comes complete with all accessories including mouthpiece, ligature and cap and Walstein Saxophone Case. Good action and lovely Mellow tone, even tone holes blue steel needlesprings, leather pads. Great outfit and very good value given the nature of the materials used, the quality of the keywork and the timbre of sound.

The Bauhaus-WALSTEIN Lacquer finish alto saxophone is identical to the bronze version but is slightly lighter due to the lesser density of the brass body material. Like the bronzse version, it has a very positive action, blue needle springs and Italian leather pads.

Clear high register, good middle, powerful, rich and beefy bottom end. Comes complete with hard case with cordura covering and rucksac straps, mouthpiece, ligature, cap and sling. Each instrument has been thoroughly checked and played by a fully qualified technician/player.

Selmer Paris Reference 54 Old Gold Lacquer & Hand Engraved Alto Saxophone

Based on the Mark VI, the Selmer Paris Reference 54 has a sound texture, depth and breadth not found in any other current instrument. The Reference Alto does even better than the Mark VI in terms of power - it has an enlarged bell diameter. The carefully researched neck length ensures great pitch reliability. The ergonomic mechanics come directly from the Mark V1, conceived by Marcel Mule. Modern production techniques enable improved feel and reliability. The Selmer Paris Reference 54 has a warm, "old gold" style finish, which gives depth to the lacquer. The engraving is taken from old plans found in the Selmer factory: a beautiful, engraved flower to enhance the look of the instrument.

Selmer Super 80 Series III Engraved Alto Saxophone

The Selmer Series III Alto sax includes the following improvements: Left-hand palm keys have been moved up the body (not higher), placing them more directly under the finger and accommodating different hand sizes.

Ergonomically positioned left-hand table keys. C# vent key mechanism improves intonation and tone quality of this troublesome note without using alternate fingerings. Natural positioning of the right-hand D# and C natural keys. Direct access to right-hand side/trill keys (Bb, C natural, and high E natural).

The Selmer Series III alto saxophone is sold with a Hiscox case. Additional Selmer accessories included are: Selmer lacquer cloth, strap, pull-through, cork grease and reeds. The set also includes a Selmer S80 C* mouthpiece, ligature and cap.
