After choosing the most suitable rim for your embouchure, (the rim is an essential part of the mouthpiece since it is in contact with the player's lips and it should not be changed unless there is a justified reason). The other elements which make up the rest of the system: cups, backbores, throats, etc... may be changed in order to obtain optimal results depending on your playing needs and situation.

Mouthpiece bodies are silver plated, while rim and cups are gold plated.

Kit number 5 has a standard rim with 7 different sized cups - from A (shallow) to FL (deep). It has two mouthpiece "bodies", for cornet and trumpet with threaded ends to which the combination of rim and cup can be attached. All the cups in the stomvi no 5 mouthpiece kit are 16.15mm in diameter.
