Vandoren V16 Saxophone Reeds
Launched in 1993 to answer some American jazz musicians (a JAVA with even more wood). The V16 reeds have a medium-thick heart (more than java, but less than traditionals), with a profile designed for producing a strong attack with a deep, rich sound.
Sound: more brilliant, more percussive, particularly well adapted to all the new styles of music..
The V16 has a thicker tip than the traditional Vandoren reeds and a longer pallet.
Available in 1.5 - 5 - boxes of 10 (soprano and alto) boxes of 5 (tenor)

Vandoren ZZ Saxophone Reeds
In tests with Jazz saxophonists, the artists found the new "ZZ" reed to be immediately responsive without sacrificing the brightness or tone quality required for their style of music.
'ZZ' reeds combine the medium-thick heart (more than Java but less than Traditionals), with a profile designed for producing a strong attack with a deep, rich sound.
The 'ZZ' reed is very free-blowing.
