Description: The Jupiter JFL 511ESSC flute has a precious metal riser (92.5% silver content). Body and foot in silver plate. Covered hole with offfset G and Split E mechanism.** Hand seated double skin yellow pads. Hand finished embouchure hole. Drawn and rolled tone holes. Stainless steel springs. It now comes with new case design including case cover, flute rod and silver cloth.

What is a split E Mechanism? - The split E mechanism has been around for many years and is especially popular in England. The note E3 has always been difficult to play in tune (it has a tendency to be sharp) as well as to crack easily when first played. The split E mechanism is an optional extra. When a player plays E3 on a flute without an E mechanism, both G keys remain open. However, if the player has an E mechanism, a bar located adjacent to the F# key pushes down the lower G key. The upper G key, however, remains open.
